New car, fully electric, 563 miles on it. First model came out in 2019. This is a 2020 model. Most owners extremely satisfied with the car which appears to be reliable and perform beyond expectations. Not in my case. Bought it in early 2021, and could not drive it much because of the pandemic. I had my very first issue with the heat wave of summer 2021. At a stop sign, the car starts recording overheated drive motor and cuts power (enters "turtle mode"). Still drive-able but with difficulty: it does not accelerate and takes forever to gain speed.
When I turn it off and on, the issue disappears. Next day, the issue presents itself again and becomes permanent. Manage to drive to the closest dealership. After two weeks of testing, the technicians conclude the drive motor needs to be replaced. It is ordered. Another week goes by. And then a fourth to perform the repair. I am waiting for an update on whether the problem has been solved and the car can be returned to me. It has been unusable for 42 consecutive days so far.
