The contact owns a 2013 Kia Optima. The contact stated while driving approximately 40-50 mph, the hood inadvertently opened and cracked the front windshield. There were no reported injuries. The contact drove the vehicle to his residence. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was 116,564.
