This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Kia dealer.
Constant correction needing to be done to keep the car straight on the freeway. It's much worse when the wind is blowing and very scary.

Vehicle is difficult to control at highway speeds. Vehicle requires constant correction from the driver in order to drive straight and stay in the designated lane.

Dealer did not know of the problem, so I explained to them about what I read on the internet and then they researched it and tried to fix the problem by changing the computer setting for the steering. The change in program did help but only slightly. I have to drive all tensed up and it makes it very uncomfortable. My old Chevy van with 133,000 miles has only 10% of the drift compared to this Kia. If I had driven it at higher speeds prior to signing the contract am sure that I would not have made the purchase.
My dealer has been great but this problem is much larger than them. Down with computer assisted power steering.

2014 KIA Optima, 2400 miles. Vehicle will not track in a straight line, rather, it drifts to the right or left, requiring the driver to constantly nudge the steering wheel one way or the other to stay centered in the lane. Condition is particularly noticeable at higher speeds, and particularly annoying on longer trips. This car is no fun to drive.
