This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Kia dealer.
I am leasing the 2017 Optima -pug-in fro more than $700 a month, so I expected good service. No problems for 7 months, then one evening I started the car and there was no power when I pressed the accelerator.
I had the car towed to the nearest Kia Dearlership call Down-town Kia, and the service guy was nice, but I soon learned that ALL responsibility for service of a car or to the customer is on the dealership. KIA MOTORS MANUFACTURER TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR CARS. My car needs new electronics and the hybrid battery, and it is on back order. I was told by KIA FINANCE that I must continue to pay my lease "whether I have the car or not ! I would not recommend anyone buy or lease this car.

I have had nothing but problems with this car since April of 2022. In and out of the shop. I have spent too much trying to get it fixed.
