My son has a 2018 Ka Optima S currently in the shop due to excessive oil consumption. The tests were done for oil consumption and his vehicle burns 3.8 qts of oil before a 1,000 miles. At this point, he is in need of a new engine, per the technician's with kia and is unable to drive his vehicle because cylinder 3 has 80% leak down.
He has some type of warranty which is only paying for partial on a new engine. AT THIS POINT, KIA NEEDS TO RECALL THE 2018 OPTIMAS ASAP. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME MY SON'S VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP!!!!! THIS HAS BEEN A BIG PAIN IN MY A**.
