I see Kia is having another problem. We purchased a 2019 Kia Optima in April of 2018 I believe. Took it to the dealership for free oil changes and they overfilled the crankcase. Of course the dealership didn’t care and allegedly has no idea what the issue was. I get making money but solve the problem! I didn’t trust the dealership after that. When I changed my oil on my own it only took 4 quarts with a Kia oil filter.
I called Kia and tried to get answers and it was the typical run around. Take it to a Kia dealership. A 2019 Kia takes 4 quarts of oil with a Kia filter. 1.6 motor. Kia doesn’t care as long as you purchase the car. I contacted Kia and it was a run around and take to a dealership. Well, if they overfill and don’t know what the problem was and don’t care... I see that Kia pawns it off on the dealership and the dealership pawns it off on Kia. Maybe investigators should look at the oil capacity noted in the owners manuals. Please feel free to contact me!
