Optima Hybrid EX 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,200 miles

The sticker says that it should get between 37-40 MPG. We have never gotten better than 26 MPG. We traded in a mint condition 2013 camaro V-6 that was getting consistent 23 MPG because this supposedly got better gas mileage but it barely gets 26 and in the winter months it is down to 21 MPG. Kia representatives told me that it could take up to 15,000 miles to break in and get that gas mileage. What? a 20 MPG decrease for the first 15,000 miles? HA! rediculous.. This is my 15th new vehicle AND i have worked in car dealerships for 30 years and this is a completely false statement. The vehicle has been scanned and found all parameters to be within specifications. 26 MPG for a hybrid that is stickered at 37-40. What a joke that is.
