Intermittently not starting. Not cranking. Battery has been checked. Alternator is ok. We've left it with our mechanic for a week and he was unable to replicate the issue. It's happening a couple times a month. We wait about 20 minutes then the Kia starts up. Yes the van is available for inspection. My safety was at risk as the van not starting in below freezing Temps. No it has not been inspected by manufacturer. No warning lamps before or during issue. Issue has been going on over 3 months.

Bought a van the next day my breaks were metal on metal. I found out it was flooded. The second day the key stuck in the ignition, the middle seats got stuck and will not fold up. The dealer said their mechanic went all over the van and said it was in good condition. The calipers are in very bad shape. He said they need replaced soon.

On my cruise control when I set to certain speed, it will speed up, I had it set to 65 mph and it sped up by itself to 85 before I could get it to go off. I had to slam on the break to get it to go off. This has happened several times. Now the car will not start all the lights will come on, but car will not do anything. Checked fuses all good, ground wire was taken loose and paint grinder off and put back on, still won't start. It started not starting every now and then and now it won't start at all. I read where this is happening to several Kia specifically 2006.

Driving my Kia in freeway about 55 mph and unexpectedly hood open and crash my windshield, I try to drive to freeway side with the little visible space between dashboard and hood, a guy driving besides me help with the traffic so I reduce speed and hit guardrail, I damage my bumper and all right front side of my Kia, I was thinking that was my bad luck or that I didn't close hood properly. I tried to put hood in place and using an ethernet cable to secure hood and drive at 10-20 mph to home. Next day I call a guy from craigslist to replace windshield, I remove hood and tried to unbend it, fix latches and tried it to put it in place I buy one used and replace old one, I am still using my vehicle because want to avoid fines and I was not physically affected, just the scare and vehicle damage, I didn't report incident to police. I just read about latch Kia problem, Kia's recall number SC134, I am still using my Kia because cannot buy another car for the moment, all my Kia is messed up in the body(bumper/right passenger side, etc. But motor/trans worked like a champ but cosmetically looks very ugly because that incident with open hood. Can Kia pay for my repairs?

Problems: Air bag light on again. Has been repaired by dealer several times. Ac does not blow cold continually and has been repaired several times. New compressor, additional freon, etc. Horn malfunctioning again. Transmission problem - the vehicle "bangs or slams" when you come down a hill to a stop. When slowing down to a stop light it actually has a surge or acceleration. This vehicle only has 64000 on it and the brakes have been serviced several times (front and rear). Now when I am driving I get a terrible grinding feeling - and at a higher speed on the highway when you go to slow down faster it vibrates terribly. Also the braking is terrible at higher speeds. Also had problems with the actuator repair/replaced several times, horn not sounding properly, air bag light (repaired several times), cruise control issues (won't maintain speed - accelerates or decelerates), battery or electrical issues (told to replace battery which I did & paid for), headlight issues (have replaced lights several times), vibration on highway (new tires and tires have been rebalanced. Alignment done). After reviewing multiple websites on Kia reviews, these above items are very common experiences for Kia Sedona owners. I wanted to make you aware of these items since I feel that if consumers do not notify the authorities nothing will be corrected or known. I have really noticed in the last few months, almost immediately after passing the warranty mark, the vehicle has taken a turn for the worse and problems seem to be escalating.

I purchased my Kia Sedona in April 2006. On average, four times a year I will press the accelerator pedal and the RPM's will go up but the vehicle will not move forward. I have to then release the accelerator pedal and press it again for it to "catch" and move forward. The 1st time was while on vacation in san diego in 2006. On 4-5 occasions the problem almost caused a serious accident. I have reported it several times, but since Kia cannot find a "code" they claim that they cannot fix the problem.
