The rear fuel injector rail on my 2011 Kia Sedona has cracked and failed. My wife and I noticed a strong smell of gasoline on September 1st, 2018 while our van was parked in our garage. I discovered gasoline was collecting on top of the engine under the intake manifold. I first thought a fuel injector seal had failed but after removing the upper intake manifold I discovered a crack in the injector rail. This is not a normal wear and tear item like brake pads or tires. This part should not have failed in normal operation. I have filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, #11124159. My wife and I love this van and have had zero problems with it until now.

Fuel rails should NEVER crack or break under normal use. The risk of fire is too great.
