Third time to jump start in cold weather. Took to dealer and they supposedly replaced the battery and gave me a complimentary service "chit". No comments on why the car continues to deplete the battery when not started in 4 to 5 days!!??

Had parked the car at the airport for 10 days. Came back from 6000 mile flight to find the battery so dead that nothing worked. Weather was drizzly, freezing rain and just awful. None of the doors but the driver's could be opened. Had to crawl thru front seat and over console to open passenger door so large luggage could be kept out of the rain. Called KIA and after 50 minutes their local service started the car.
Time to trade the Sedona!!

We had the new '15 Sedona since just before October, and no issues. Then in the last week, maybe or maybe not related to the very cold temperatures that swept through NJ, the battery in our Sedona died 3x in the last week alone. Each time we had Kia come out to jump start the battery. On the 2nd occasion we brought it back to the dealership where we bought it, and they swapped out the battery for a brand new one.
When the problem happened again this past Saturday we brought it back to the same dealership, who gave us a loaner (Rio). We got a call from the dealer today to say that there was a Kia recall that addressed the same issue that killed the battery, and they claim the issue is resolved. There is absolutely nothing online about any official '15 Sedona recalls, when would they show up online on sites such as cars.com ? We just got the van back and home so the jury is out on if the issue is fully resolved.

I purchased a new Kia Sedona SXL Plus in Feb 2016. The battery goes dead , intermittently (occurs about every 4 to 6 weeks) in 6 to 8 hours. I mean really dead (down to about 4 volts so a led dash light will not come on / vehicle will not even unlock by key fob let alone start). It has been towed into the dealer a number of times, they have had it through many tests / calls to Kia Canada etc... with no resolution to the problem. It has recently gone dead overnight for the dealer (finally) while they had it back in again for diagnosis. (thankfully it acted up for the dealer not just me) No answers / diagnosis forthcoming yet and the dealer is getting frustrated. (and my wife no longer trusts the vehicle as this has happened about eight times leaving us stranded). We really like the vehicle to drive, it is really comfortable, quiet, good on fuel etc... but this problem is also frustrating us. Does anybody out there have any help for me / my dealer?
