I went to start my Kia up, and noticed that the engine/brake light came on, so I'm like what is it? I tried to turn the steering wheel, it was very hard to steer, so I'm thinking it was the powering steering fluid was low. So my husband had let a mechanic know and he told him that it was the crankshaft pulley bolt was broken, so my husband stopped at the Kia dealership in Tupelo, MS. He spoke to Jay the parts manager, Jay entered the VIN number and informed my husband about a class action law suit that was closed but they extended it for like 8 more years.
Jay never told my husband about that it covers up to 100,000 miles, but mine is well over that mileage. Kia should be happy that it got me this far. KIA had my Sorento towed on November 2,2019, I waited like until Tuesday to call and the manager said that she will check the technician, she said that he said that it will be ready Wed, something was always coming up. Bailey said that she was mad at Jay because he should have not told my husband. Because it was only up to 100,000.
Then called on a Thursday, Bailey said that it will be ready, no matter what time I come my Kia will be ready. Called back Friday they said that they are waiting to hear from the district manager so that he can approve it being repaired. Jay stated that he will pay for it even if it was not covered under that law suit. So I called again, Jay said that he ordered a special kind of tool that should get the bolt out. Guess what talked to Jay on November 5, 2019 and he told me and my husband that it was nothing else that they can do. And they would have to send it to a specialty shop to repair it.
They been giving me the runaround every since KIA towed. I know that my KIA was not going to last forever, but nothing is wrong the engine. I was never aware of a class action law suit involving the crankshaft bolt breaking. I don't even recall receiving anything in the mail. This SUV is my only transportation, I have been paying lyft drivers to doctor, physical therapy because I was in a car accident in October. Left my daughter without a car. Its really really sad that they are doing me this way. Even corporate office was very rude to me. Zack, Sandra, Kari was so sarcastic towards me. The bottom line were told that they will fix it as GOOD WILL GESTURE even if it was not under the class action law suit. This is why Bailey was so mad at Jay for telling my husband that KIA will repair it no matter what. I need transportation. Can you all help me with this issue???
