The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who noticed that the crossmember bars were corroded through and were not able to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact maneuvered the vehicle to side of the road and observed that the rear frame fractured. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
