The contact owns a 2007 Kia Sorento. While at a stop, the defroster was activated but failed to function. The vehicle was taken to both a dealer and an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the heater coil needed to be replaced. The mechanic repaired the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
