While traveling on highway, in the 60 to 65 mph range, when I came to the steep hills and the vehicle was in cruise, As the vehicle began to slow down and changed to a lower gear, it made a loud "CLANG", as it shifted. And then repeated the loud clang, each time I came to the same situation , of it having to change gears, on a hill. After it happend over and over, I decided to take it out of "Cruise" and operated the gas pedal, manually. When the transmssion seemed to be ready to shift, I would slow down and apply the gas very slowly and this would cut down the clanging , "SOMEWHAT", but not much. But when I got back into the city and was traveling at the 35 to 40 mph range, even when I went up hills, it would shift smooth and normal. Even when I pushed the gas pedal to the floor, it would shift normal . So it seems that it only shifts " VERY, HARD AND VERY LOUD " when I am going up hills on the highway and traveling in the 60 to 70 mph range. What do you think ?
I called customer service at KIA, but was told that even though it has only 54,000 miles on it, it is not covered by
