Headlights started going out two years ago. Replaced them multiple times and was told nothing was wrong. Then recently when they wouldn't come on at all after replacing bulbs again, a mechanic showed me the harness was melting where the bulbs connect. This could have caused a fire. Kia - shame on you for knowing it was a problem and not correcting it.

No brake lights or dim lights gone blind someone or get hit from the back. Could cause collusion but cost so much at dealership to fix.

For the past couple years the low beam lights have continuously shorted - I just kept buying new bulbs and replacing until finally one side and then the other MELTED - connector and wiring melted. When the driver side melted, I bought a harness at the NAPA autopart store and was able to replace myself. Now that the other one is melted down, I have to look into replacing the entire electric system for the lights which is looking like a couple hundred dollars. This seems to be a constant issue for Kia owners.. especially the 2012 with the junk engines.
