Started with replacing light bulbs several times, headlamp still would go out with in hours or days. Then the dealer had me buy I believe it was the socket or the part the bulb sits in, that didn't work .Then they told me to replace the headlamp assembly completely and I don't have the money to do that. This also affects the turn signal more of the time than just the headlight. Very annoying and frustrating.

My Kia 2013 is losing headlights 4 times in the last 6 months. Brake lights twice in the last two years. I would not be upset if I drove and had many miles on my car. I am retired and and do not put many miles on my car. This car does not have wear and tear. Having 60,000 on this car should not have this particular problem. It is disgusting Kia has not had a recall of this problem. I have just filled out paperwork for a class action suit. I don't want to get anything but my car fixed. Please advise.

2013 Kia Sorento headlight, brake lights and turning signals all go out regularly. We have had to replace headlights, blinkers and brake lights way too frequently. The 1st time the wiring harness was melted on the passenger side headlight (electrical issue/possible fire hazard). The lights go out during city and well as interstate driving. Sometimes we can adjust the connector and the lights will come back on. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if it were the bulbs needing replacing, but this is faulty wiring. We have to replace brake lights 2-3 times a year. We've had to replace both turning light harnesses. We have to replace brake lights 2-3 times a year.Kia needs to take responsibility and have a recall on the headlight, blinker and brake light wiring.

The front driver side headlight keeps shorting out. I have replaced the light, that worked for a while...Then it over heated and some of the wiring melted having to be replaced. Guess what it is out AGAIN...This started happening after owning the car for a couple of years and has become an ongoing problem!

This will be the THIRD time I have had to replace the headlight assembly on the driver's side. I cannot afford to keep paying for the dealership to fix this issue so the last time and this time I will have to order the assembly online and have someone fix it. I truly feel that this is a manufacturer issue and I should not be responsible for continuing to pay for this! I have been told that the light gets too hot and melts the wiring. How is this MY fault?? The guy at Kia Corp said they wouldn't issue a recall because there haven't been "thousands and thousands of complaints". And? I am complaining about a manufacturer issue! Not something brought on by my negligence! This is beyond frustrating!

Bought my 2013 Kia Sorrento in July of 2015. It had 19,900 miles on it and other than the problem with my headlights has been a great car. In June my passenger side low beam went out.. so I replaced it. Two nights later it went out again... bummer... I thought I might have inadvertently touched the bulb when I was replacing it, so I was gonna just bite the bullet and fork out another 18 bu!cks for a new bulb. When I pulled the bulb I noticed that it was extremely hard to twist and remove from the assembly... I'm thinking OK, I must have kinda cross-threaded it when I reinstalled it the first time. When I did get it out I found that the part had actually melted on the inside. OK... I'm going to the dealer...But before I did that I went to Google and entered 2013 Kia Sorrento headlights and WOW! This is a big thing. I went to the dealer (where I've had my Sorrento serviced and checked every since I got it), and got the run around. Noises about even though I have bumper-to-bumper extended 100,000 mile warranty there will be a $100 deductible IF IT'S COVERED! Plus a shop fee, even if they don't fix it and just take a look to see what the problem is. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURERS PROBLEM! Why should anyone have to pay for faulty stuff? Why hasn't there been a recall? There is certainly enough complaints of this same problem to warrant one! Now I'm stuck with either replacing $18 bulbs who knows how many times... all the while taking the chance that this problem might start a fire, or paying out the wazoo to fix something so obviously the manufacturers fault - with money that I do not have. I live on Social Security, a fixed income every month... I don't have an extra 400-600 dollars laying around to spend on someone's defective product. Meanwhile I hope I don't get a citation for no head light if it goes out unexpectedly... This is a bunch of bull, and I will never buy another KIA product and will make sure that all of my family and friends know what has happened.

I have had to replace my headlight bulbs 4 times since I have had this car. I had to replace the passenger side wiring harness because the lights kept going out. Now the drivers side headlight was just replaced and it went back out. This is ridiculous it is very hard to drive at night without both headlights and now I am going to have to fork out more money to take it in to find out why this now this side is isn't working.
