Ball joints should not wear out at only 60,000 miles, especially when I do mostly highway driving. Another issue with this vehicle is that two years ago my oil light came on, and I pulled over. Checking my oil, it was a bit low, but not bad, so I started it, and there was no light, so I drove home. The next morning, there was a pool of oil on my garage floor. It was not empty, so I drove it to Kia for them to look at the next day. Checking online, I see others have had this issue, and were wrongly diagnosed with having a engine seal leak, as the oil would drip down the transmission. The actual cause was an oil pressure switch under the intake manifold, which would spray oil while running. This $12 switch cost over $500 in labor to replace, but it fixed the problem. I am the second owner, and conveniently this happened after the 5 year warranty expired.
