Sorento LX 2.4L Gdi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,162 miles

Tires vehicle came new with were excessively worn down after only 17.162 miles driven. Right rear had nail in it, was deemed unrepairable due to lack of remaining tread depth. Service technician also informed me that all 4 tires had to be replaced due to the sensors monitoring each wheel - significant differences in tire diameter could damage drivetrain and probably void vehicle warranty. I made it to a second tire service location and was told the same thing. Spent $861 to put some decent rubber between me and the road. Internet research of this issue yielded the same results, as also said an expert mechanic and the alignment specialist the next day.

Had no idea when this vehicle was purchased that what had just happened was a possible scenario.
