Oil stick was dry but there was no indication on dash.

This thing burns oil so fast. I had to put 2 litres in it halfway between an oil change. Now I check it every second fill up and top it off.

Checked oil level and observed the add oil mark, so I added oil. It was a routine problem. Then codes came up for cam/crank sensor. June of 2022, I finally replaced cam and crank sensors, cleared code and it came right back. Emission law won't let it pass inspection in spite of normal running. Via report, this car and engine was actually manufactured on 10/27/2014 then labeled a 2015. Kia dealer wants 6k to fix the engine. WHY? An engine should last, not to have issues at 50,000 to 60,000 miles.

We had a 2015 Kia Sorento that was burning through very high amounts of oil when driven on the highway. The dealership could not find a problem but asked us to supply all oil change records which we did not have available. The car was under lease. When we brought it back we were told we had to pay over $6000. We have not paid at this point.

I have a 2015 Kia Sorento LX. For the past three oil changes, my oil light has come on at 1500 to 2000 miles after an oil change. It has always been serviced at the dealership and I get the oil changed faithfully. Of course they are saying this 2015 doesn't fall under the recall, however the engine used in this 2015 is the same engine they have recalled in the 2014 Kia Sorento. The dealership mechanics can't find a reason for the engine oil consumption.
While driving the vehicle today, the light came on and after stopping and pulling off again, the car shifted into drive very hard. I had to add more oil to the vehicle today, when I just added oil last week. I was recently asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment for an oil change when I had only driven it about 1300 miles since the last oil change. Kia is well aware that they have 2014 engines in the 2015. Stop playing with the consumers! Recall the engines and fix the problem. This makes me not want to ever purchase another Kia.
