About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
The headlights are very dim and only project approximately 20 feet in front of the vehicle. This creates unsafe night driving. At 65 mph on a highway, there is practically no time to react to an animal or object on the road. I have emails from the manufacturer but I am unable to copy and paste them here. In my discussion with a representative from Kia, I was told I would have to contact the dealer and pay a $160 diagnostic fees s then pay for new headlights, that would be the same as are on the car now. Makes no sense.

The contact owns a 2015 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that while driving at night, the headlamps were too dim, and the contact was unable to see the roadway. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they informed the contact that the headlamp assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the contact a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 153,048.

I was driving the car and then it slowed down to 40 mph and cut off on the highway. I cranked it back up and it made a weird noise. I called a tow truck. Took it to the shop and they said the engine needs to be repaired. There is no way that it should be having motor issues. The oil has always been changed on time. Also I have to change the headlight bulbs on the left and right
