July 2nd 2017- I finalize the paperwork on a new 2017 Kia Sorento and drive off the lot. I get down the street and realized I left my work parking badge in the my trade in. I go back and get Chris, my sales rep at Covina Valley Kia, and he tells me that he was just about to call me because the new car I just drove off with has a bad battery. They don’t have anyone there to change it and that he will need to give me a loaner, and I should be able to pick up the new car on July 3rd 2017. I should stopped the deal entirely. I didn’t, and it gets even worse(Please see my other complaint) I did take a loner home that night and to work the next day and was able to pick up the new Sorento after work. Just thinking back, this put a bad taste in my mouth, but because I was at the dealer for hours and was tired and hungry, I didn't make it a big deal because they did get me the vehicle the next day. Thinking back I should have seen this as a sign. How does a dealer let a new car leave their lot with a low battery? What of it died on me down the street? or the next morning and I couldn't get to work? Chris was also very calm about the issue, like it wasn't his first time something had gone wrong. It wasn't a good way to start my relationship with Kia.
