Noticed the eyebrow lights and tail lamps illuminated at 3:30 in the morning. First time I've seen this. Car was locked. Opened it up, and changed the selector switch from auto to off, and the lights did go out. Started the car, put the selector to auto again. Shut the car off, got out, locked the car with the fob, and the normal cycle of lights going out worked perfectly. Left the selector to auto and peeked out at it 3 hours later, and all is normal.
My first thought was that someone had attempted to break into the car. After reading comments here, it appears this is a random and likely non repeatable failure. Will continue to monitor. If anyone has a fix, please let me know.

I'm gonna send to the dealer for a checkup, but it's not reproducible so I'm not sure if they can help trade in for other manufacturer? Toyota, Honda, etc. will report back if they find fix. The lights have also shut off at night while driving, which is very dangerous.

I only just noticed, but my headlights, when set to Auto, have been turning on by themselves. I checked the cctv camera's and they stay on for 35 seconds them shut off. This happened a number of times throughout the night. I have over the past few months had 3 mornings where the car would not start, I suspect this must have been happening and caused the battery to go flat, hence the reason I needed to jump the car those mornings. Hoping someone else has had this and has it fixed, what was the issue and how was it rectified? Thanks

Car parked in the driveway and locked. 2:30AM let the dog out to pee to see the car headlights and running board lights on. Thought someone was trying to steal my car! Got the keys and unlocked it. Manually turned the lights OFF.
Of note the lights were set to "auto." I have no idea if this happens regularly because it was the middle of the night.
