Driving a short distance from home when a warning flashed on display Activated Hood System then suddenly a massive bang. The hood at the end nearest windscreen deployed up immediately. A red warning triangular symbol then flashed up and loud beep inside jeep. There had been no impact with jeep before this at any time. Driving along no problem then bang noise then hood raises up spontaneously.Took it to nearest Kia Dealer who are awaiting word from headquarters above coverage under warranty.
