LAST YEAR I HAD A OIL LEAK AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURING ERROR AND THEY CHARGED ME OVER $300 TO FIX THE ISSUE. MY CAMERA WENT OUT ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE OVER $300 TO FIX IT BUT, NOW IT'S A RECALL. NOW I GOT A OIL CHANGE ON 1 SEPT. MY OIL LIGHT CAME ON 8 OCT SO I PARKED THE VEHICLE. NOT UNDERSTANDING SO I CHECK THE OIL AND IT SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO OIL . THE OIL STICK WAS BONE DRY.

I TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE OIL CHANGING PLACE AND THEY TO STATE THAT THE VEHICLE IS BONE DRY NO OIL. THEY STATED THAT THE ENGINE IS BURNING THE OIL. NO SIGNS OF A OIL LEAK. I HAD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER OIL CHANGE. I CALL KIA IN TEXARKANA WERE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM AND HE STATES THAT THERE IS NO RECALL AND IF THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE OR OIL ISSUES I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR. ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS SUV FOR THE LAST PAST 2 YEARS NOW. IT STALLS WHEN I AM PUSHING THE GAS, THERE IS A POPPING NOISE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OR STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT COMING FROM THE BACK END OF THE VEHICLE. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT IS THE LIFT OR THE CADILLAC CONVERTER AND THAT WOULD COST ME OVER $500 TO REPAIR. I AM SO OVER THIS VEHICLE. WORST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER PURCHASED AND THE INSIDE, THE ARM REST ON THE DOOR AREA AND MIDDLE CONSOLE CRACKED UP WHEN THE WEATHER WAS HOT AND THE THREAD IN THE DRIVERS SEAT CAME APART. I JUST HATE THE DAY I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE.

Kia knows that they have a oil consumption defect but unless you can provide all your oil change receipts they won't fix the problem. My issue is that I was told I have to wait until my engine seizes before they will fix it. So I ask Kia, if I get into an accident because of this know problem and someone gets hurt or worse is killed, what then???

I left my house yesterday morning to take my children to school and myself to work. About 1/2 mile from my house my oil light came on and went back off. This worried me considering this had not happened before. I pulled into an empty parking lot and checked my oil. There was NO OIL registering on my dip stick! WTH.

I went home dropped my car off and drove my husbands. I bought 2 quarts of oil and went back home. I went into the garage where my car is usually parked and there was NO oil on the floor. So obviously my car is not leaking oil. I checked the sticker in my window from my last oil change and compared it to my current mileage.

I was not due for an oil change for another 300 miles, as I have my oil changed every 3,000 miles. I contacted Crane Kia which is the dealership where the vehicle was bought. I spoke to T.J. in the service department, making him aware of my issue and asked what I needed to do. He stated I could bring my vehicle in for an oil consumption test. I would pay for an oil change then bring my vehicle back to them every 1,000 miles for them to check my oil, note my oil usage and top the oil off. I would do this for a total of 3,000 miles. I was advised NOT to put any oil in the vehicle in between oil checks. My Kia has a 100,000 limited powertrain warranty. I am currently sitting at 86,000 miles. Not only is my oil light on so is my check engine light!!!! I'm so upset.

I was also told that there is a pending settlement for an extended warranty on my vehicle due to engine problems. Again this is pending unware of when it will be in effect. I am concerned that I will be driving my vehicle while doing this oil test, and either blow the motor, mess something else up, or be stranded on the side on the damn road. Kia is aware of ALL the engine issues, why not look it over notate what they see, figure out what code is being thrown from the check engine light and FIX my car.

Don't send me out driving an unsafe car, so they don't have to deal with me right now. I am beyond pissed! I will NEVER buy another KIA. I understand sh*t happens but when it does how a company handles it makes ALL the difference.

I bought this vehicle on 10/17/19 brand new. It had 700 dealer-placed miles on the odometer. These miles were by a sister dealership and not my dealership. On 10/21/19, four days later, I noticed that there were some oil spots on the garage floor. I called service and was told to bring it in next week. I wasn't very comfortable with this, but went with it. I hung up and went to the garage to check the oil level and for anymore spots. Oil level appeared normal. There were more spots. I started the vehicle and noted white smoke from the exhaust. I called service again and let them know I was not comfortable waiting.

They towed the vehicle to the dealership and gave me a loaner. Note that at this point I had owned this vehicle for four days, drove it twice and put 100 miles on it. I received a phone call the following day and again the following business day stating that yes, it is burning oil. Diagnostics are coming up empty-handed and a case is being opened with Kia.

I have no idea what is wrong with my car, or when I will get it back. Four days. One hundred miles. I will say that my dealership is handling the situation well so far, although the rental I am now in is a crappy little sedan. I hope Kia steps up to the plate. This is my third Kia and I have never had an issue, until now. At this point I wish I would have bought the Mazda. I will update when a solution is found.

Sorento EX 3.3L

My wife and I purchased a 2019 Kia Sorento EX AWD, 3.3L six cylinder in October 2018 and very happy with the vehicle which is exceptional, EXCEPT it seems to use an awful lot of oil. Every thousand or so miles I have to replace at least one quart of oil, and I have used nothing but mobile 1 Full synthetic, with normal 5K oil changes, Serviced at local dealers. I have been told that this is possibly "normal", and believe that it should not be using this much oil from normal driving. Luckily, I check the oil regularly and this is now the norm. I am concerned for a long-term usage and negative wear, wanting to keep the car for a very long time. I know there have been oil issues in the past with prior models, and maybe there is an issue that needs to be addressed going forward. Please advise your thoughts on this and if it is an ongoing problem that can either be rectified or possibly were not aware of this? Thank you and advance.
