Sorento Prestige LX 2.5L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,209 miles

Purchased this car new. Occasionally when I am driving at a slowed pace preparing to merge into traffic the car goes into limp mode. When I attempt accelerate to merge the car loses power and will not accelerate. I have to pull over to the side of the road , turn the car off and restart. Then the car will drive just fine. Until it does it again. It has done this about 10 times since I've owned the vehicle. Every time it is when I am merging into traffic and is extremely dangerous. The first time Dealership could not find error codes and had no solution. I will write a separate complaint about this. This is The Third Time I left it with dealership. I included videos of the issue which also included a auto stop button failure but have deleted them since. Dealership said I needed a new battery. We replaced it. The second time they said they reset the computer for the transmission which was a fix for a recall. Problem is on going. Dangerous and no one seems to know if it is electrical, transmission, computer or what.
