Sorento Prestige LX 2.5L Turbo

Car went into limp mode again while merging into traffic. Fix is to turn off car wait a minute and restart. Now able to drive. Stopped at a store about 2 hours later and it went into limp mode as I was pulling out of the parking lot into traffic. Same fix. Fortunately not involved in a crash yet. This is about the 12th time this has happened. Car has been taken to dealership 4 times. First time they scanned for codes, no codes, no fix. "Let us know if it happens again" Second time they checked for recalls, repaired a camera and did a reset code on transmission " That should fix it. Let us know if it happens again" Third time at dealership they said it "needed a new battery" " That should fix it"

We have another appointment with dealership tomorrow. I don't know what good it will do. I listed this issue under the transmission since it doesn't accelerate and sometimes when it goes into limp mode the dash reads 1 instead of Drive. Dealer is aware of this. This could be an engine problem, a computer issue, an electrical issue, a drive train or transmission issue or just a gremlin! I don't know and the dealership does not seem to be able to figure it out. I know others are having this problem and some still have it after transmission is repaired. I am really tired of taking this to the shop, not having a fix and more importantly, scared that I will end up in an accident while trying to accelerate in traffic. HELP!
