I regret trading in my Dodge Caliber for this thing. My caliber was from around the same year, and ran nearly perfectly in the entire time I had it. I traveled thousands of miles in that thing, and only traded it in because the mileage was high (170,000) and I didn't want to risk it. Aside from brakes, fluids, and spark plugs, nothing had to be done to this car.
Fast forward to my Kia Soul. I had heard so many good things about Kia that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get into a low mileage Soul for reliable transportation for my job.
At 6 years old with only 86,000 miles, the A/C died. I haven't had it diagnosed, so I don't know if it's a leak or a serious failure. I've never owned a modern car where the a/c failed. I haven't had it fixed, and I'm hoping I can just get rid of this thing and get rid of the aggravation.
