The contact owns a 2013 Kia Soul. The contact stated that the instrument panel failed to illuminate when the vehicle was powered on. Additionally, the contact mentioned that the gear shifter would not move out of park without the contact pushing the gear release button. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000. The VIN was not available.
