Lujacks Kia Davenport charges a $160 diagnosis charge, but does not charge if they do work. Rick Vanbarg, assistant service manager called and said it was gaskets and flex connector that was bad. He said after market was not available and they would have to order from Kia so it would be the next week before repair could be made. Picked the car up and took to work. The car was still sluggish, then returning home I was afraid it was not going to make it home. I then found out it was a faulty convertor, not a flex connector. Parts store had all three parts available, second lie from Rick. Flex was $238, gaskets $6 each, and convertor which was not replaced at dealer was available for $169.
I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and dealer did not respond. Dealership changed hands to Smart, but Rick still works there in service department.
This car, up to now, has been a very good reliable car. Glad I did not ruin the engine like other owners have. This convertor should be added to the recall list.
