Soul 1.6L

I BROUGHT MY BRAKE PROBLEM TO MY SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT THE KIA DEALERSHIP THAT I PURCHASED IT FROM. IT ONLY HAD ABOUT 400 MILES THEN. HE TOLD ME THAT THE BRAKES RUN ON SOME TYPE OF VACUUM, AND SO THERE IS NOTHING TO FIX - NOT EVEN A BRAKE OR BRAKE PEDAL ADJUSTMENT. SO LIKE THE OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE READ... I FIND MYSELF KEEPING A PRETTY GOOD DISTANCE BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THERE HAVE BEEN PLENTY OF TIMES WHERE I HAVE HAD TO BRAKE SUDDENLY. I ALSO TEND TO PUMP MY BRAKES REPEATEDLY TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. DON'T GET ME WRONG... I LOVE MY SOUL... IT'S JUST THE BRAKING SYSTEM THAT I FIND SCARY. I'M JUST WAITING FOR THAT COLLISION TO HAPPEN. AND WHOSE FAULT IS IT GOING TO BE? MINE, OF COURSE. MY 2014 KIA SOUL HAD EXCELLENT BRAKES, & MY 2016 SOUL HAD GOOD ONES, TOO. SO PLEASE FIND A SOLUTION/RECALL. THANKS.

brake pedal goes to the floor

My wife was driving her 2019 Kia Soul Plus with only 8,000 miles on it when she went to brake and the pedal went to the floor. She repeatedly pumped the pedal but there was still no brakes and she ended up rear ending the vehicle in front of her and then they hit the vehicle in front of them. Her car and the car in front of her was totaled. I really liked the Kia up until this point. I wont buy another Kia again! These cars are not safe!

The brake pedal is going to the floor board: Scary. What if the brakes fail altogether? We bought the car new and within the first 400 miles experienced the problem. It was in the shop from 3/16 to 3/21 they replaced the master cylinder and cylinder assembly. They finished it just in time for my husband's planned vacation. The vacation included driving the Kia over 2000 miles. On the way back, still over 700 miles from home and just prior to traveling through the Smokey's, the brakes have the same problem. I'm typing this as I fret about whether he will make it home safely. I called the shop he is scheduled to go back in on on Monday. I hope he makes it home safely to get to that appointment and that they can really correct the problem.
