  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,000 miles

At about 7000 miles the car began having trouble shifting, especially when going slower, as well as putting the car in reverse or drive. It also became noisy. (Not horribly noisy, but definitely noticeable).

It is under warranty, so I took it in, and they had to replace the entire transmission. It's been about a month or so and guess what? It's doing the same thing. PLUS it has stalled several times, with no warning! Luckily it was at slower speeds. Once was in a parking lot, and I was stuck in the middle of a lane! I tried restarting twice to no avail. I let it sit for a few minutes, and was able to start it. People were pissed because they couldn't back their cars out of the parking lot.

This is dangerous to say the least! I'm not sure if it will stall at higher speeds or not. But I don't want to find out either! Kia needs to look into this issue, because I've seen quite a few other complaints about it.
