One morning I had turned on the car and the steering wheel immediately locked up, along with an instrument panel warning light. I turn off the car and back on - everything went back to normal, even the caution light went away. Took it into a Kia dealership, and was given a free rental car to use. The next day I was contacted and was told they needed to replace the MDPS assembly/steering column (2) parts # and name 56310-k0000 column assy-ste along with 81919-31000 bolt-safety loc. These parts were not available in the US, they had to order the parts directly from the manufacturer in Korea! Due to the Corona Virus, it took 2 weeks to get the parts so they could install them.
