When I purchased the 2004 Kia Spectra the car started showing problems a month after. When you press on the accelerator the car would barely move and then after awhile as your accelerating it would get stuck in third gear to the point I would have to pull over press on the brake and start off again. Pressing the brake seems to reset the problem. When I would take it in to Kia they would say they can't find anything wrong with the transmission. This has occurred about 5 or 6 more times and of course my warranty is no longer available. It's pretty bad when you are driving your car and all of a sudden it gets stuck in third gear and all you are doing is revving up the engine as you are driving down the freeway. Not a good sign.....
