If the blower motor stops working on your Kia you may be able to buy yourself some time before replacing. I was able to reach under the passenger side dash panel and tap the bottom of the motor while it was switched on and make it start. Sometimes I have to do this each time I use it, sometimes it will start on its own. A couple of taps is worth it to me to save a few bucks for the time being. When it finally stops I'll replace it. But this might just get you by on one of those cold mornings when you really need a defroster and to get to work. I believe the reason this happens is the brushes in the motor are worn. Not sure if you can replace them so a new motor might be the best fix. Good Luck

Pretty tough to defrost windshield in the winter. Gets pretty hot on summer days sometimes.
