About 3 years after I bought this car used, the stupid airbag sensor went off and it would not pass inspection. Like other unfortunate people I contacted Kia to no avail and the dealership contacted them also to no avail. Past warranty blah blah blah, The dealership replaced the seat with the sensor in it to the tune of about $2000.00. Now, about 4 years later the #@%# light is on again. We are in the middle of a pandemic and I don't have the money for another $2000 repair. All I can say is buyer beware when buying a vehicle!

My Kia spectra 2006 was inspected for its air bag light coming on and now Kia tells me it will cost around $2350.00 with labor to replace my passenger seat ocs mat sensor. I see they will replace 2007-2009 but not the 2006 year! Now that really sucks because my car is probably worth the price of that passenger seat! How do I get Kia to replace mine, since it is a big problem? And it is a safety issue. They not going to just change the sensor.

THERE IS A FEDERAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE 2007-2009 SPECTRA'S WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THE 2006 NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED SINCE IT IS ALREADY A KNOWN ISSUE.
