In the spring, this car started locking on it's own. When using the remote, it will not unlock. It locks back instantly. It also will lock back when you unlock with the key. This happens several times a week. It happens while the car is sitting at night. Today, I started it to get frost off, went back in the house, came back out and put my pocket book in the car, closed the door and started my husbands vehicle, went back to this car and all doors were locked. And guess what: my other remote and spare key were in my pocketbook in the car. No other spare key available. My husband had to break into the door to get in. I have seen several complaints about these cars doing this but guess what- NO RECALL!!!! Thanks KIA for nothing. I called the dealer that I bought the car from but warranty has expired and they claim that they have never heard of this problem. Then why can I find several complaints on the internet? I replaced batteries in both remotes but did not help (that is why the other remote was in my purse as it normally stays in the house).
