I ahem removed the mirror from the visor while attempting to treat it like a sun visor (imagine that). Discovered that this part (whole visor, since the damned thing won't stay up) is about $100 and MUST be purchased from the manufacturer. Apparently ALL replacement parts for this line of vehicles MUST be purchased at the manufacturer. I'm currently trying to find a replacement engine "modesty cover" (that big plastic cover for the engine) as someone "forgot" to replace it at my last oil change and I didn't discover it until my NEXT oil change.
Kia was also kind enough to put one of the most expensive tire sizes in the known universe on this vehicle.

Driver's sun visor suddenly dropped down into field of view. Will not retain position out of field of view of driver. This is the third time it has happened in three years and I have had to buy a new visor each time.
