This has been posted by other vehicle owners of the KIA Sportage. Mine is an LX V6. When going through rain, water hits underneath the front of the car and the battery light will come on and the power steering will lock up.
I'm wondering if anyone has figured out what needs to be done to fix this issue? I bought the car used, but the warranty has expired, but this looks like it is a defect and not due to the average wear & tear of a vehicle. According to the KIA website there has not been a recall on this make and model, at least for this issue. Any guidance would be very much appreciated.
