I have a 2012 Kia Optima. I had a 2015 model which I traded on my new Kia 2020 Sportage. They all have a 2.4 engine with a problem with bearings, which they had since 2011. After having my car one month I get a notice for a product improvement campaign Kia installed a knock sensor detection sensor system (ksds) in my engine control unit. They have a problem with the engine bearings but do not address that problem, they install a program in my cars computer that notifies me the problem has been detected instead. Other products improvement campaigns with this issue offered a lifetime warranty once the (ksds) was installed. Why not this one? But my major complaint is, after this many years, why not have an engine that does not have this problem?
