My radio stops working for a few hours. My dash showed that my SUV was over heating, the temperature gauge went all the way to H, which means Hot. So I cut my AC off and let the vehicle sit for like 15 or 20 minutes then drove home. Ain't having no problem after I cut the AC off. The Kia Service never found the problem to service yet. They say it might be electrical. 😥😞

After only a year and half and just over 37k miles my radio decided to just shut off and never come back on. I purchased the SUV literally just off the auto hauler truck delivering it in July 2019. Then in early November of 2021 the Apple car play just stopped working. The USB connection still worked. It would just not connect. Then about a week and a half later I started my car any the radio was just dead. DEAD! I scheduled an appointment and took it to the dealership. They determined the radio was in fact not working after checking all the power connections and wiring to the unit. Now, I had purchased an extended warranty for this car. I purchased it specifically for if any electrical issues were to happen since the car is just loaded with all these "extras" which are of course electrical.
The cost of the diagnosis for the radio was $488. They then told me I needed a new head unit, that I was out of warranty, and that my extended warranty was for powertrain only. Seriously, I would not have purchased only the powertrain since the warranty on it was good from the factory. But whatever, they screwed me one way or another. It was an estimate of $3800 for the radio and install. The service advisor told me at that point that I was better off getting an aftermarket unit. I looked around and found the head unit online for about $961. Of course the unit I purchased... the phone interface for Car Play and Android Auto does not work on this unit either. But at least I have my music now.
I am beyond frustrated with the Telluride and all the problems I have had with it. Kia wants $200 to download the software for the radio and update it to see if the phone interface connection will resume working. I still have not gone down and had it scheduled... I am going to stick to purchasing vehicles that are a few years old from now on. If I could unload this car and get another one I totally would but it is not in the cards for me right now.
