The sunroof did not closed and made a pop sound and after that it was mis aligned and failed to close, one arm was broken and the sunroof was hanging on the other one. Called the Kia Riverside dealership they said they dont have any tech for sunroof. Ended up taking to cerritos dealership and they said i have to leave it for 7 days without loaner just to inspect and it will cost 257 bucks for inspection only. Then I decided to take it to a local shop and they quoted me a total of 3740 bucks including 2800 for parts. I ended up using them to just force close the glass so that its not a safety issue anymore.

The Wind deflector broke on one side. My sunroof won-??t close. It is causing water damage and the amount to fix it over 1k. After research this problem has been reported numerous times but no recall yet. Please recall this safety feature in the telluride.

Went to open the sunroof and the track mechanism cracked. Now it is stuff half open, off the track and dangerous to drive with. It is unable to open/close anymore than it is now. Looking online I see 20+ complaints in two different Kia Telluride forums about the same issue, with no apparent reason.

Sunroof exploded while driving. Nothing hit it, heard a loud noise while driving, thought it was a tire. Took car to KIA dealership in Chula Vista CA, they said someone from KIA headquarters is coming to inspected since they dont believe the fact that nothing hit it. Car has been there for 2 days with no answer. This claim remains to be resolved as of 11/21/22.

The contact owns a 2020 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that while his fiancé was driving at an undisclosed speed, she attempted to close the sunroof however, the sunroof became inoperable. The contact stated that upon inspection, he noticed that the sunroof was off track and in a bind. As a result, he was unable to close the sunroof cover. The contact was concerned that the glass would shatter and cause an injury. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was able to schedule an appointment. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was able to leave a voicemail but had not yet received a response. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000. The contact stated that since the sunroof is not securely attached, it could fly off the vehicle at any moment regardless of the speed.

The sunroof exploded. I was driving on the freeway and the sunroof glass completely shattered leaving only a few fragments on the perimeter. No debris hit the car. There was no one in front of me and I was not passing under a bridge, etc. The sun shade was closed so most of the glass flew into the air outside rather than coming inside. The shock of the sound was an issue but I maintained control of the car. The glass shards hit the cars behind me but luckily they appeared to be small enough that I did not see anyone have issues from the flying glass. I drove straight to the dealership where my service is done. They inspected the car and, after 2 days, told me that they could not do anything without Kia corporate getting involved and approving the replacement. There were no warnings prior to this issue that there was anything wrong with my sunroof.
