The contact owns a 2022 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously taken to the local dealer for a software update of the electronic braking system (EBS). The contact stated that while shifted to drive(D), the parking brake warning light illuminated and engaged. The brake light illuminated while reversing. While idling at a stop, the symbol was yellow. There was an abnormal zooming noise detected, and an unknown message was displayed. The contact's son, who is an engineer, informed her that there was a glitch in the system. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 27,258.
