Proximity sensors will randomly go off without there being anything in front of the car. It typically only chimes once or twice but it makes me nervous; if the car detects something in front of it, it will engage the emergency brake. That could be dangerous if you're going at a higher rate of speed. I have not taken it to the dealer (appointments are 2-3 months out), but I doubt they would "replicate" the issue.
