I've had two Defenders over the past five years. My first vehicle was a 2020 and I replaced THAT windshield twice at a cost of $1850.00 USD EACH time.
Now my 2024 Defender has a cracked windshield. This occurred two days ago on a non-commercial road in New Jersey where there is NO truck traffic allowed. A small pebble kicked up from the front vehicle and just ticked the upper driver side windshield almost where the glass meets the rubber molding. It immediately spread into a large crack.
I've been driving for nearly 60 years, mostly Volvo and Jeep vehicles. In that time I replaced 1, maybe 2 windshield. Statistically the damage incidents occurring with these Defenders is simply significant to where there is more than enough data to assure there's a product insufficiency. And this is a costly, very costly, oversight. This chronic problem is surely convincing me to switch vehicles.
