The contact owns a 2017 Land Rover Discovery. The contact stated that the bracket that opened the bench seat was fractured. Due to the failure, the hatch failed to close after being opened. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the defect was not covered under recall or warranty and the contact was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
