Range Rover 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,000 miles
The contact owns a 2003 Land Rover Range rover. While driving approximately 55-70 mph, the contact heard a loud screeching noise coming from the engine compartment. He pulled over and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer stated that the transaxle needed to be replaced. The failure occurred twice and was replaced under warranty both times. Currently, the vehicle is no longer under warranty and the transaxle failed for the third time within 18 months. He returned to the dealer and they stated that they would call Land Rover. The contact feels that the part may be defective. The failure mileage was 25,000 and current mileage was 71,000.
