My car completely shut down at a traffic light as I took my foot off of the brake to begin my turn on green. This resulted in my car having to be towed by the police because where my car shut down in the middle of the street was a traffic hazard. The police even tried to jump the battery but nothing worked. There were multiple incidences of the like before hand, but the car usually restarted after shutting down. This time, it would not restart and resulted in a $400+ towing bill. Messages on dash were, Transmission not in Park and Battery low.

11/21/22 - the car had a significant amount of water on the driver-€™s side floor. The windshield was leaking extensively. The headliner was saturated and the carpet in the car. The steering column was wet, and the floor mat was filled with water and frozen to the carpet. The touchscreen was not working, and the screen was completely black. Land Rover Hunt Valley confirmed the windshield leak. The headliner and carpet have been soaked and I believe water has damaged the electrical system because of the touchscreen intermittently not working. This vehicle has flood damage due to the significant water breach that occurred. The car is at risk for concealed mold and mildew. I am concerned about the long term effects water damage will have on the electrical system - electrical issues are extremely dangerous safety issues. Water damage will also cause rust and corrosion. The leaking windshield issue in Range Rover Evoque cars is a known problem to Jaguar Land Rover North America. A Technical Bulletin was issued about the problem on 11/6/18, and an After Sales Bulletin/Service Action N221 issued on 3/23/20. The leaking windshield issue is also discussed in many Range Rover Evoque online forums. There are many consumers who have leaking windshields in their Range Rover Evoques. Both the 2018 and 2020 bulletins instructed dealers -€œto HOLD affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action. Affected vehicles already in the hands of customers should be updated at the next available opportunity." Jaguar Land Rover North America knew about the issue with leaking windshields, and they were still building cars with the defect and having their dealers sell the cars without disclosing the issue to buyers. I would not have purchased this car if the problem was disclosed. Extensive water damage inside a car is a serious safety issue. My car has been sitting at the dealer since 11/29/22

Engine complete shuts down when idling (I.e., at stop lights) in extreme temperatures. Requires vehicle to be turned off, wait a minute or two, restart vehicle. Has happened 4 times at outdoor temperatures of 110-120 degrees. Dealership service claims that they cannot replicate the problem and states that there is nothing in the computer log to show any errors. So far this has not happened on a highway, only local streets.

A few months ago, a message of "no fault suspension detected, drive with caution" appeared on our dash. Before then we were getting a message of low coolant. I thought this was weird because we had the car for only a little over a year. We took it to our dealer and we were told that there is nothing to worry about. We scheduled a maintenance appt to have the software updated. Also our car wouldn't start, I had to place my key fob under the steering wheel as indicated on the dash. I told the dealer this too and I was told it was a battery that needed to be changed, or we need to use both key fobs intermittently. Then yesterday, were stopped at a traffic light, the car just shut off and the wipers went on by itself. My husband started the car up and we drove off when the light turned green. We stopped at a place to pick up some food and shut the car off. Came back into the car and started it up again. No problems there. But as we drove a few miles and came to a stop light at a major intersection, the car stalled and everything shut off again. We tried to start it up again and nothing. A message came on that said forward alert not to drive over 50mph. Then a gear box showed on the dash saying something about the gear box. I can't remember because I was in so much panic with the heavy traffic. We couldn't put the car in neutral to move it out of the way. Luckily the fire truck and firefighters happened to be driving by. They were able to direct traffic until the police and the tow truck came. Our dealer here was not open over the weekend so we had to have our car towed home. It was then making a clicking noise as we tried to start it. Then all the lights on the dash went out. It felt hard to step on the brake and to move the steering wheel when we tried to start the car again.

The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover Range rover evoque. The contact stated that each time he enters the vehicle, the passenger's side tire pressure warning light was illuminated. The contact exited the vehicle to inspect the tire and top off air pressure in the tire however, the failure recurred. The contact also stated that the rear windshield wiper failed to operate correctly, cleaning only a small area of the window. The vehicle was taken to walser Mazda (14720 buck hill rd, burnsville, mn 55306, (952) 388-2244) and the contact was informed to take the vehicle back to the dealer it was purchased from. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The contact mentioned NHTSA campaign number: 20V517000 (tires, electrical system), 19V421000 (visibility) as possible solutions to the failures however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.

Vehicle began to stall while stopped at a stop light in downtown phoenix. Temperature was about 113 degrees. Received alert to reselect gear even though car was in drive. Rpms dropped while idling and car died. Was able to get car to restart by turning off engine and restarting the car on the second attempt. This happened on 9/5/2020 and again on 9/6/2020. Was sitting in turn lane waiting for light to change so that I could make turn and ended up blocking traffic with a dead car.

It stalls at stop signs and stop lights. This is not the eco start-stop feature. It does happen both with that feature on and off. This is an electrical failure. When it stalls all the computers shut down, climate control, electronic screens, stereo, and occasionally the seats move back all the way, making it near impossible to reach the start-stop button to restart the car. It sometimes happens when you first come to a stop, and other times right after you hit the accelerator and start to roll into the intersection. The technicians have been able to recreate this, and have also been in the car with us when it happened. This has easily happened more than 20 times in 3 weeks.
