I bought my Black ES 350 as a certified used car and had it shipped from NY to my home in Tucson. Within a month the clear coat started delaminating. The Dealer had the district rep look at it and she said it wasn't a paint defect! customer services was less than helpful, they recommended I go to arbitration. They wouldn't hear the case because they said the car was in an accident, they touched it up before selling it). I went to the local dealer and had them take paint thickness readings and they stated in writing that the car was not repainted. Arbitration came back and said it wasn't a warranty item and would not provide any additional info. In the mean time, my beautuful Lexus is turning into a jalopy. Lexus has polite but not very helpful customer service. I would never buy another Lexus again just because of the way they treated me and how they do not stand behind their product. There is a class action suit on this issue so I know it isn't just me having the problem.

A phone call was made to the dealer and was told to bring the car in. I took the car to the Lexus dealer in Lincoln, NE where it was examined and told that there definitely was a problem with fading and chipping. They assured me that they would research the problem and get back to me. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. I e-mailed the dealership and was referred to another person. Talk about getting the run around. Yesterday I took the car to a body shop where for $1900 it can be repainted. This should not happen to a luxury car.
