I purchased a Lexus ES 350 after much research to find the safest car with advanced airbags. Lexus has a dual airbag on the passenger side which is why I chose this car. However it is not safe for me as the airbag off light comes on at times, so in an accident it may not do me any good. When there is a big bump in the road it immediately says off on occasions, other times I do nothing and it says off. When this happens, we need to pull over and turn car off and restart to get it to say on again, or sometimes I bounce hard and it will kick back on. When I was tested in car at Lexus, which they were very nice to me I might add, I weighed in at about 87 pounds and this is where the problem lies, as I really weigh 115 pounds. They said it could take 6 months or a year before they can get it solved, due to govt. Regulations with the faulty occupant sensory system.
