Had this problem four years ago. I tried to ignore it. It never impacted my steering, but I kept hearing the sound. I eventually got it fixed at Balise Lexus. They replaced the power steering pump. The issue resurfaced four years later.

Done buying Lexus now. I had a previous Lexus that was reliable so continued using Lexus till I got this. Its the most problematic car I have ever had and most expensive to fix. My college Ford Tempo didn't have that many problems compared to this and I take care of my cars meticulously.

After re-building my transmission at 110000 miles $2500, My GPS system going out $2000 now my power steering pump $550 went out. I am a 3rd generation Lexus owner but I never intend to buy another Lexus ever!!!! Their dealerships treat you great but Lexus corp themselves are ass holes!!!!

So, this was the second time the power steering pump failed. However, this time, the power steering hoses failed with it.
There were a lot of other problems with the car, so I ultimately sold the car for really cheap. I didn't get the issues fixed. It's that guys problem now, but he is a car guy, so it's fine.
